Our School Yearly XMas Friday night time walk and camp

27/11/2023 Xmas night walk and camp

15th December leaving Carlisle approx’1800hrs
An event has been added. Our Xmas winter night time walk and camp challenge is coming up. Anyone welcome, present and past members.
This is a peer walk and not a club organised event, so make sure you are prepared and capable. Depending on the interest will depend on the difficulty of the walk and the route will be decided on once we have numbers.
The route is subject to change at short notice depending on weather, i.e. snow and floods preventing travel to certain areas. The walk and camp in some sort of fashion will go ahead whatever the weather and it is the reasonability of the individual to make what they think is the right decision for themselves.

All COVID 19 restrictions now lifted and training as normal

June 2021

Following Government guidelines for COVID, we are now back to contact.

Rapid Flow Test should be taken prior to training (You can obtain these free but we have a small quantity if you get caught out)

Do not come to train if you have any symptoms of COVID.

Hand saniteser is readily available before and after using any club equipment.

Recommended to bring your own equipment and weapons.

Face masks can still be worn if you wish.

August 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our school is adapting so we can still train safely until normality.
We are continuing to follow all government guidelines as they change. At present we are using foam "noodles" with plastic piping inserted so we can use these to practice hand, feet and weapons defence techniques at a safe distance.
We are a school which enjoys perfecting what we practice so it is workable under real situations, but at present all body contact is put on hold.

  • No sharing of equipment without being sanitised,
  • Using own training weapons are encouraged if possible,
  • Hand sanitiser readily available,
  • Keeping a minimum of 1m distance,
  • Always welcome to other people’s concerns and ideas.
  • July 2020 GRADINGS We have introduced a progressive grading system for the lower grades and are presently working towards making this available for other grades so people who are training can still progress through their sash's during the pandemic.
